Learning From & About God's Word

Bible_textBible study is an integral part of CICF. We believe that the study of God's word is both meaningful and useful to our everyday lives. During the regular semesters (Fall & Spring) we usually have three Bible studies covering a variety of topics. During the Summer and Winter break we usually have one large Bible Study. This study usually covers a specific book of the Bible or a video series dealing with a specific topic in the Bible.

Bible studies are held every Friday except the first Friday of the month starting at 8:30 PM.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." II Timothy 3:16

CICF Studies Spring Semester

aaywac groupWe usually have three studies during the Fall and Spring semesters. Below are the studies for the Fall 2007 semester.

(AAYWAC) Ask Anything You Want About Christianity- This study provides a forum for questions about fundamentals of the Christian Faith. Those who desire to know more about what Christians believe, why Christians believe what they do, or how to better understand the teachings and stories of the Bible are encouraged to attend. Opportunity will be given for individual questions, as well as questions arising from studies planned by the co-leaders. This will be co-led by Hong, Jason & Behzad.

Transformation in Christ Jesus this study invites you to start a spiritual
journey: a journey that will challenge you to look at yourself as "people
who belong to Christ", people who are invited to be "Christ-like", and as
people who have been transformed to be his representatives and ambassadors
in the world we live in.

What does tranformation in Christ mean to you? How does it influence our
lives, life-styles, or relationships, and the decisions we make in places
of work and worship? Can we transform ourselves so that we learn to love
one another unconditionally, the way Christ did? ......... Let's all
start this reflective journey, with the determination to be transformed
due to his presence amidst us.

Deuteronomy -The OLD Testament?, you ask Especially the LAW of all things? How could this be relevant for my life? Remember that that the Old Testament (and especially the law) was the only Bible Jesus and the apostles knew (2 Tim 3:16)! This study hopes to scratch the surface of the mystery of God's covenant and seek to understand its relationship to law and grace as well as other relevant topics. Deuteronomy is the pivotal book to understanding God's relationship (and desire of relationship) to His people, both 3500 years ago and today. We hope you consider exploring this book with us and experiencing the depth and power of God's word!
